This room is a copy of a room in our house in Marchand, about seven miles south of Punxsutawney. That house was purchased by Laurie’s grandparents in the 1940’s and remained in the family until 2006, when we sold it and moved here.
Shortly after moving in, Laurie’s grandfather planted an orchard of 60 fruit trees, including 40 apple trees. Some of the apple trees were still bearing when we sold the property in 2005.
The room features a queen-sized bed and an en suite bathroom with a four-foot, walk-in shower.
